@johnosandra Or, Perhaps you forgot that back in 2001 a study found that Australia was the number one country in the world where its citizens were victimized by violent crime, with Great Britain coming in slightly behind. Funny how America did not even Make the Top 10 on that List of Industrialized Countries.

In anycase, To own an M-16 here, you must obtain a Federal Firearms License, which means, Any select fire weapon is controlled as to who can have them, I.E., Law abiding Citizens. @johnosandra Also, Last time I checked up on Australian Law, When you go to purchase a Firearm, you must A, get a Firearms License, B, Obtain a Permit to Aquire said Firearm, and C give a “Genuine Reason” for wishing to purchase it. Please note that under Current Australian law, Self defense does not qualify as a “Genuine Reason” Thank God For the USA, Please Do not try to lecture us. You only brand yourself a Hypocrite.
